This is a true story~

A very personal, candid, and insightful collection of one's memories.

For way too many years, she pushed everything
deep down inside of her; while
all along the way, she was allowing people:
To take~
To have~
To break~
another little piece of her heart~

~♥~

She was hurting and needed to heal that hurt.
She was broken and needed to be mended.
With no one to help her, she had to find a way to
help herself.

After decade upon decade of suffering from every
form of abuse.

Rape;
Physical, emotional, verbal, abuse;
Panic attacks;
Depression;
Imprisonment;
Agoraphobia;
Post-traumatic stress;
Prescription addiction;
Chronic illness;

Read how she found the will, the strength, and the
faith, to find her heart
~and take it back~

This book is a must read for anyone who has ever hurt

This book is available through amazon.com barnesandnoble.com borders.com, etc;etc;

Dolores,
Love the new photos! Job well done, my friend. Are you a member of that other group, The Book Nook? I would be if I had a book for people to read. That's just my opinion, for what it's worth.
Hope you are well.

Dolores!
How are you doing today? I survived the week so far. Yesterday was harsh, today I am preparing for Thursday (neurosurgeon) and Friday (colonoscopy).
This has been a rough week. I am glad you enjoyed the photo of Hannah. I think she was 3 -4 in that picture. Reading that particular newspaper was hilarious. Hope you are well.

Dolores,
Because of you I just went to MySpace for the first time ever. You site there looks fine. Your story of survival is one that needed to be shared. Your strength in Gods glory must be told. I think you should put your profile photo up on this site. I have been here for close to 4 months and I know what kind of people are active within this group. You book will be accepted eagerly within this community.
I have lived through many things in my brief 49 years on Earth. War, divorce, the death of a child. My own fight with the VA after Desert Storm. A battle that I just recently won after almost 15 years. Now I have medical concerns that must be addressed to try and eek out another 50 years. I am at peace with God. My daughter, Hannah, is there. Marines Guard the Gates of Heaven.
I got that going for me. I have 4 boys and a beautiful wife who worries about me way too much. You and I have been placed in each others path, Delores. I believe that is what God does. It means you are supposed to teach me something, or you are supposed to learn something from me. Either way,you have my undivided attention. We WILL meet someday. Am I wrong?

Dolores,
You are braver than I am doing all of that driving in the desert. I live 30 minutes west of Phoenix. I love the desert. But I do nat handle driving in it well. We watch the news everyday and they always find people that have broken down in their cars and didn't survive. Can you imagine how they did it 150 years ago? No DVD player in the wagon? The history of 29 Palms and the migration patterns of the Chemeuvi Indians is pretty interesting. They stopped at the oasis in 29 Palms year after year.
I will look up your book this evening. Am waiting for the temperature to dip down below 105 before I do anything important. Have you ridden the Tram to the top of the mountain there in Palm Springs? That is an awesome trip.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Delores,
You and I will get along wonderfully! During Desert Storm, I got lost in the middle of the Saudi Arabian desert looking for a radio site. I felt safer then than when I was driving from 29 Palms to Amboy for the first time. If a person was driving on the moon, at least for some of the time, you would see Earth. That would be better than that trip to Amboy. If you need any help trying to figure out this site, let me know. I'd be glad to help if I can. I am only on 2 ning sites. This one where all my friends hang out, and the other one is where the evil Network Marketers play nasty. I like them both equally for different reasons. Have a great weekend! Look forward to hearing your story.

Welcome aboard, Dear!
Glad to have you. I was stationed in 29 Palms for several years of my Marine Corps career. Bought a house 1 block from the Oasis on Chemehuevi Dr. If you have ever driven up into the Monument, you drove past my old house.
Look forward to meeting you and having you share.
