Any Canadians on board?
Glad to see so many folks from various places interested in the "Wanteds"....But, are there any other Canadians out there who check into the Good Old Days Wanteds, or am I all alone? Just wondered....Donna.

Hi Chester....I am from northern, Ontario.
Moved to this "BEAUTIFUL" small tourist town 6 years ago. Retired early.
My hubby is a 14 year cancer survivor.We have 3 married sons who gave us 8 Gorgeous Grandchildren, ranging in ages from 17½ years to 2½years. 2 of the boys are curly haired redheads.
I have been kept busy the last 2 months doing painting, but not the kind of painting I enjoy most. I love to paint on canvas...but, I have been painting all the rooms at my father's house he just purchased. He is doing the renovations, while I paint. He is a healthy 92 year young man who still drives...(passed his driver's test with flying colours) loves to go for walks, goes moose & deer hunting in the Fall.
Good to hear from a fellow Canadian...I wonder if there are any more out there?

Hurray for Canada, I'm in Ontario. I'd love to talk to anyone about my collection of vintage barbie stuff, some old jewelry I'm trying to fix, learning to make wire bracelets or whatever.

sorry to have taken so long to say hi. I have not been on here much since Oct. My hubby's health is gradually deteriating, as he is entering the final stages of Chronic Emphysema.He has a permanent trachea in due to his cancer surgery 15 years ago . He is totally oxygen dependant.Since Sept. he has been in and out of the hospital frequently.He has to be waited on hand & foot, as he is too weak to walk much.I just got him home from the hospital again last Friday. He is on antibiotics by in-home IV.
We live in a small tourist town in the north eastern part of Ontario. It has been really cold here too. At present we have lots of snow. I have not had much time on the computer lately since I have all the snow shovelling, as well as all the regular household duties too. Take care....Donna.

Hi Donna: I'm an American who lives in Laval, Quebec for 46 years. Does that qualify for a Canadian. I love Canada but sometimes I miss the U.S.A. I only have a few relatives left and came to Canada to live with my new husband since 1963. I still have a sister in New York state. I love cooking, collecting recipes making jewelry and taking apart old jewelry and making something new. I make quilts and do crochet and knitting and acrylic painting. Hi Donna: I am so happy to get a response from you. How are you doing with your poor husbands sickness. I think I know as I took care of my husband for three years at home when he lost his foot and then the other foot and leg to diabetes. He passed away with a major heart attack when he was only 67 years old. But he suffered many years with advanced diabetes. I have been alone for 1 1/2 years now and just started feeling like my old self. I have started making jewelry again, so that takes my mind off everything . I design my own styles as I want to eventually sell them. I love cooking and collect recipes in the thousands. Ask me if you would like any recipes or craft, knitting or crochet pattern when you have more time. Take care of yourself and God give you his Blessings. Your friend Deanna
